I do not think it is a good idea to decrease parking along Main St. It is bad for business. I also do not appreciate the reduction in lanes along Main St as it is confusing, increases traffic and pointless (especially from Edward to Thompson). Why lose 2 useful traffic lanes to offer trees and flowers in planters instead? Also, how much will it cost to bury the hydro lines and are there benefits other than esthetic? I already pay A LOT in taxes to the town of Penetanguishene and I DO NOT want them to increase in order to finance this impractical and unnecessary Main St re-design.
